FAQs

Are your designs original?

Why, yes they are. All of our designs are created by our founder.

What does 'organic' clothing mean?

The cotton and bamboo are grown without pesticides, herbicides or synthetic fertilizers which can be harmful to the environment, and potentially to the person wearing the clothes.

What does 'certified organic' mean?

Requirements of certified organic clothing or textiles made from organically grown fibers, generally involve a set of production standards for growing, storage, processing, packaging and shipping that include:

  • avoidance of synthetic chemical inputs (e.g. fertilizer, pesticides) irradiation;
  • avoidance of genetically modified seeds;
  • use of farmland that has been free from prohibited chemical inputs for a number of years (often, three or more);
  • keeping detailed written production and sales records (audit trail);
  • maintaining strict physical separation of organic products from non-certified products;
  • undergoing periodic on-site inspections.

What's the buzz about bamboo fabric?

The bamboo we use is silky smooth and soft to the touch while being naturally hypoallergenic. The bamboo plant grows faster than any other plant, making it the most renewable. Some species of bamboo can grow up to two feet per day and many species grow even faster than that! The bamboo fabric absorbs moisture really well and because of that, requires less dye than conventional cotton.

What does sweatshop-free mean?

Our clothes are made and printed in the USA in a sweatshop-free environment. We follow all U.S. laws, and production standards. A sweatshop-free environment ensures that employees are treated fairly, and products are made in good working conditions. Sweatshop-free standards include the right to collective bargaining, non-poverty wages, safe workplaces, back wages, and non-harassment.

Is 'Yoga Lani Collection' apparel specifically for yoga?

This collection of apparel is designed for women and men to feel and look great practicing yoga, hiking, meeting up for coffee and errands, or whatever other adventure comes your way.

Is the 'Yoga Lani Collection' logo printed on the merchandise?

Our short sleeved and long sleeved t-shirts, toddlers t-shirts, and onesies are adorned with a small logo, tastefully centered on the upper back, near the collar - with the exception of our Deep, Kind, Bright design, where a small logo is tastefully included in the artwork on the front.

Our hooded sweatshirt has a small logo at the wrist tastefully placed in a bracelet orientation on the right arm.

Are clothes true to size?

Yes - here's a little more info:

The unisex short sleeve and and long sleeve t-shirts are not fitted, and offer a comfortable ease.

The ladies t-shirt is slightly fitted, with a scoop neck, that can be worn as a standard scoop neck, or it can flirt with showing a little shoulder. If you want to embrace the off the shoulder vibe - size up.

The hooded pull over sweatshirt is not oversized, and not fitted. If you plan to wear something under it, or you like a generous, easy oversized fit - size up.

The toddlers t-shirt, and onesie are true to size.

What about shrinkage?

Our clothes are not pre-washed. There may be a slight amount of shrinkage, though, we have not noticed much.

Is there an additional cost for plus sizes?

We're happy to offer inclusive sizes at no additional cost.

How should I care for my clothes?

We suggest washing clothes inside out, in cool water with similar colors, using the gentle wash cycle.  Avoid bleach and do not dry clean. Tumble dry on low or hang-dry the garment. If ironing is necessary, iron the garment inside out on the low setting.
